Zulu Ali was recognized as one of the most influential African American Leaders in Los Angeles by the National Action Network

    RIVERSIDE, CA, September 21, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ — Zulu Ali, Esq., has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Raised by a single mother, Mr. Ali drew a wealth of inspiration from his grandfather, who had often served as a parental figure and encouraged him to become a lawyer. He received an Associate of Science in African studies from the University of the State of New York, a Master of Business Administration in human resources management and a Master of Science in criminal justice from the University of Phoenix, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Trinity Law School and a Doctor of Business Administration from California Southern University. After serving with the Marine Security Forces, Mr. Ali went on to serve as a sworn officer with the Shelbyville, Lewisburg and Vanderbilt police departments.

As an attorney, Mr. Ali was admitted to practice law at the International Criminal Courts at The Hague in the Netherlands and the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Right in Tanzania. He began his legal career as a research associate for the Law Offices of Stuart Parker, after which he became a coordinator of equity and diversity at California State University. Today, Mr. Ali runs his own practice, the Law Office of Zulu Ali.

Mr. Ali’s practice focuses on representing cases involving criminal justice, immigrants and victims of discrimination. Both he and his colleagues routinely accept cases that provide an opportunity to change unjust laws throughout the courts. Outside of his primary work in the law field, Mr. Ali also serves as the director of the American Committee for United Nations Oversight, director of the Southern California Veterans Legal Clinic and a member of the National Conference of Black Lawyers. Likewise, he has been the director of the Stop and Frisk Academy, a program that he developed in order to teach at-risk youth how to deal with police encounters. Mr. Ali also hosts a weekly syndicated radio show, Justice Watch with Attorney Zulu Ali, which is broadcast across several platforms and in several cities.

For his accomplishments throughout his career, Mr. Ali was recognized as one of the most influential African American Leaders in Los Angeles by the National Action Network, and was inducted into the National Black Radio Hall of Fame. Additionally, he has been named among the Top 10 Attorneys, Top Civil Rights Leaders, Top 100 Lawyers, Premier 100 Trial Lawyers and Rue Ratings Best Lawyer in America. For his military service, he received a National Defense Medal, a Meritorious Unit Citation and a Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Ali has attributed his many professional successes to his upbringing and passion for the field.
