OTTAWA, IL, April 19, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Alexis P. Ferracuti has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Growing up, Ms. Ferracuti witnessed her father, Peter Ferracuti, practice law in one of the most prestigious firms in the region. After serving in World War II with the United States Navy, her father established his own private practice in 1977 and grew it to become one of the top firms in the area. This inspired Ms. Ferracuti to pursue a career in law as well. She received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2011 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from New England Law Boston in 2014.
While studying toward her law degree, Ms. Ferracuti served as a legal intern for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Normal CornBelters, as well as a lieutenant governor of membership and representatives for the American Bar Association between 2013 and 2014. She was also a research assistant for New England Law Boston and, between 2003 and 2014, interned at her father’s law firm, the Law Offices of Peter F. Ferracuti. After receiving her law degree, Ms. Ferracuti began managing her father’s firm in 2014 as an attorney, and subsequently went on to become managing partner in 2015, where she remains today. In her role, she focuses her practice on worker’s compensation, personal injury and residential real estate closings.
For her efforts in the legal industry, Ms. Ferracuti has been ranked among Top Attorneys in 2020 and National Trial Lawyers. She also received the Lawyers of Distinction Award. Civically, she has been an advocate and volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Loaves for Fishes and the Penguin Plunge. She also maintains professional affiliation with the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Looking toward the future, Ms. Ferracuti plans to continue growing the business. She would also like to continue maintaining a relationship of mutual admiration and respect with her clients as she continues to fight for the justice they deserve.
